The Myrtle Beach Education Foundation is a tax-deductible organization that has been is existence since 1994.

It's primary goal is to support the six Myrtle Beach area schools by identifying, facilitating, or funding projects that will enhance the educational excellence of these schools.

The Foundations' initial fundraiser was an annual silent and live auction.

After a brief hiatus and with the expansion of the Myrtle Beach area schools from four to six, The Foundation has undergone tremendous growth.

The board membership has grown to eight community members and six principals.

An advisory board has been created to aid with legal matters, financial issues, marketing strategies and computer technology, as well as, adding a teacher liaison.

A mission statement was created along with a logo, brochure and newsletter.

The Foundation has established a financial goal of $500,000.00 with the guidance of our financial advisor, Randal Nesmith, with A. G. Edwards. The Foundation hopes to secure this amount over the next five years in order to become self-sustaining and provide grant funding through the interest earned from the capital balance. Our ultimate desire is to make The Foundation a self-sustaining entity so that our efforts can de directed towards enhancing our schools' educational programs.
